Shopping and professional accounts
Can I shop without a professional account?
Yes. Anyone can shop SimplyHairCo. You don't need a professional account to place an order.
Some products, including hand-tied wefts and tape-ins, are made for professional installation. If you're new to extensions, we recommend working with a trained extension stylist. Shop all
How do professionals apply for an SHC Pro account?
Create a SimplyHairCo customer account first. Then submit the Professional Account Form using the same email address.
The form asks for:
- Your name, phone number and birthday
- The email address linked to your SimplyHairCo account
- A stylist certification or business license (uploaded as a file)
- Your Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, if you'd like to share them
Approved professionals receive an ongoing 15% discount on full-priced items.
How is SimplyHairCo different from buying directly from Bohyme?
SimplyHairCo is an authorized Bohyme distributor. We're an online shop for individual shoppers and professionals, and we ship orders from Illinois.
Bohyme is the manufacturer and runs its own separate wholesale program. Orders, SHC Pro accounts, shipping, returns and support for purchases made here are all handled by SimplyHairCo.
Choosing hair
Where do I start: collection, method, texture, color or length?
Start with the method, then narrow it down:
- Method: how the hair will be installed. Compare hand-tied wefts, Genius Weft, machine-tied wefts, seamless wefts, tape-ins, I-Tips, clip-ins and halos.
- Texture: straight, wavy or curly.
- Collection: the hair grade and style range (see below).
- Color: compare shades on the Color Chart.
- Length: choose from the lengths listed on each product page.
For a step-by-step walkthrough, read How to Choose Hair Extensions.
Which Bohyme collection is right for me?
Each collection has its own hair grade and range of methods and textures:
- Ethos: 100% Remi® Virgin Human Hair. Bohyme's highest-end collection, including highlighted, rooted and balayage blends.
- Luxe: 100% Remi® Virgin Human Hair, in a wide range of weft types and colors.
- Private Reserve: Virgin Remi® Human Hair. Full from root to tip.
- Classic: Remi® Human Hair, across a broad range of installation methods.
- Essential: 100% Remi® Human Hair. Clip-ins, tape-ins and halos for adding length and volume.
- Birth Remi®: textured machine-tied wefts, described by Bohyme as unprocessed, virgin hair.
Not every texture, color and length is offered in every collection. Each product page shows exactly what's available.
What do Remi®, virgin and unprocessed mean?
These terms describe how the hair is classified. Always check the hair material listed on the product page.
- Remi®: Bohyme's Remi® hair keeps its cuticle intact. Every Bohyme collection we sell is Remi® hair.
- Virgin: used for Ethos, Luxe and Private Reserve. Classic and Essential are Remi® Human Hair and are not classified as virgin.
- Unprocessed: used only for Birth Remi®, which Bohyme describes as free from harsh depigmentation chemicals such as bleach and ammonia.
What's the difference between a full pack, a half pack, an individual weft and a tape-in pack?
- Full pack: a complete set of wefts. The number of wefts can change with the product and length. For example, Ethos Blended Wave has 8 wefts at 18" and 6 wefts at 22".
- Half pack: available on some Genius Weft and machine-tied products.
- Individual weft: a single weft, available on many hand-tied styles. Useful for filling a gap, blending colors or topping up an installation. Learn more
- Tape-in pack: a set number of tape-in pieces. For example, Ethos Seamless Tape-Ins come with 10 pieces per pack.
Pack contents and weight are listed on each product page. How many packs you need depends on your natural hair, placement and the fullness you want, so check with your stylist before ordering.
Can I get help choosing a color or product?
Yes. Start with the Color Chart or the Ethos Color Guide. Where you can, compare shades in natural daylight and match the mids and ends of your hair.
Then send us a message through our contact form. Tell us the product you're considering, your current shade and the look you want, and we'll help you narrow it down.
We don't have a phone line. We reply to all questions by email, so check your spam or promotions folder for our reply.
Availability and ordering
How do I check if a shade, length or pack size is available?
Choose your options on the product page. Combinations that are out of stock are marked as sold out and can't be added to your cart.
Availability changes often, so the product page is always the most current view.
What if my color, length or pack size is sold out?
Send us a message through our contact form with the product and the options you need. We can confirm what's available now and suggest a similar shade, length or collection.
We can't promise restock dates for specific items.
Can I get help with a larger salon order?
Yes. Send us a message through our contact form with the products, shades, lengths and quantities you need. We'll check availability and help you plan the order.
If you're a licensed professional, apply for an SHC Pro account for an ongoing 15% discount on full-priced items.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us right away through our contact form and include your order number. We'll do our best, but once an order has been processed or shipped, we can't guarantee changes or cancellations.
Once your order is delivered, our Return Policy applies.
Shipping and delivery
Where do orders ship from?
All orders ship from our warehouse in Illinois, USA. This is where we pack and ship your order. It isn't an indication of where the products are made.
What is the same-day shipping cutoff?
Orders received by 2:30 p.m. Central Time on a business day can generally be fulfilled and shipped the same day, excluding holidays.
Same-day shipping is our usual standard, not a guarantee. An incomplete or incorrect address, or order details that need to be verified, can delay processing.
Shipping and delivery are separate. A same-day shipment still needs time in transit with the carrier.
What happens if I order after the cutoff, on a weekend or on a holiday?
We ship Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. Orders placed after 2:30 p.m. Central Time, or on a weekend or holiday, generally ship on the next business day.
For example, an order placed after the cutoff on Friday, or on Saturday or Sunday, generally ships on Monday.
Which shipping options and destinations do you offer?
- Free U.S. ground shipping on orders of $199 or more.
- Free upgrade to 2-day shipping on orders of $1,199 or more.
- Other shipping options and rates are shown at checkout.
We don't currently ship to Hawaii, Alaska, P.O. boxes or U.S. outlying islands. Saturday delivery isn't guaranteed, even with express shipping. Express shipping and other third-party fees are non-refundable.
See our Shipping Policy for full details.
How do tracking and delivery estimates work?
You'll get a confirmation email with a tracking link when your order ships. Tracking can take up to 48 hours to update.
Delivery time depends on the shipping method you choose and the carrier. We can't be responsible for carrier delays.
No shipping email after 2 business days? Check your spam or promotions folder, then contact us.
Are there extra charges for international orders?
Orders shipped outside the U.S. may be subject to import duties and taxes. These are calculated and collected at checkout and shown in the Taxes and/or Duties lines.
The total shown at checkout is the amount you'll be billed. There are no additional charges on delivery.
Please note that we don't accept returns on orders shipped internationally.
Returns and order problems
What is your return policy?
We accept returns from U.S. customers within 30 days of the order's ship date. To be eligible, items must be:
- Brand new, unopened, unworn and not tampered with
- In their original packaging
- Not marked Final Sale
Returns that don't meet these terms will be sent back at your expense, and/or a restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. We don't accept returns on orders shipped internationally.
Read the full Return Policy.
How do I start a return?
Go to our Returns page and open the SHC Return Portal. You'll need:
- Your order number (SHC####)
- Your ship-to ZIP code
Choose the items, quantities and reason for return, and submit your request. Print the prepaid label and drop your package off with the carrier. $10 will be deducted from your refund for the use of the label.
You can also send your return with your own carrier. We recommend tracking and insurance, as we aren't responsible for returns that are lost or damaged in transit.
Can I return Final Sale items?
No. Items marked Final Sale are sold as-is. They can't be returned or exchanged, and they aren't eligible for price adjustments, promotions, coupons or offers. View Final Sale items
I received the wrong item, or my order arrived damaged. What should I do?
Send us a message through our contact form with your order number and a description of the issue. Please keep the item and its original packaging as they arrived. We'll reply by email with the next steps.
If the issue was on our end, or you're placing a replacement order for an incorrect color or length, the $10 return label fee can be waived.
My package is missing or shows as delivered but hasn't arrived. What now?
First, check your tracking link for the latest carrier update. Tracking can take up to 48 hours to update.
If you bought shipping insurance at checkout, submit a claim on our Returns page. If not, contact us with your order number and we'll help you with the carrier.
Packages are left at the address you provide unless the carrier decides it isn't safe. Use an address where someone can receive the package.
Care and maintenance
How do I care for my extensions?
- Brush gently in sections, starting at the ends and working up, with a loop brush or a medium-hard bristle brush.
- Shampoo two to three times a week. Don't rub where the extensions are attached.
- Apply conditioner from about 2"/5 cm below the attachment down to the ends.
- Avoid Moroccan oil, alcohol, sulfates, parabens and dry shampoo.
- Braid long extensions loosely before bed.
Read our full Hair Care Guide and Prepare for Your Best Install.
Can I use heat tools on my extensions?
Yes, with care. Use heat tools on a low to medium-low setting, and stay about 2"/5 cm below where the extensions are attached.
Heat shortens the lifespan of extensions. It can also soften the attachment, cause slipping and damage the weft or tips.
Can I color, tone or lighten my extensions?
Please talk to your stylist and contact us before any chemical service. Results depend on the collection and the starting shade. Any coloring, toning or lightening should be done by a professional.
Extensions that have been worn or altered can't be returned.
What's the difference between hand-tied and cuttable wefts?
- Hand-tied wefts are sewn by hand by trained technicians. They're lightweight and sit close to the head for a low-profile installation. They're made for professional installation.
- Genius Weft is ultra-thin and can be cut into custom sections. It has no return hair (the short folded-over hairs on the edge of some wefts).
- Machine-tied wefts can be cut and customized.
Check each product page for its construction details, or ask us before cutting.
Do extensions need professional installation? Can they be reused?
Hand-tied wefts and tape-ins are made for professional installation. Clip-ins and halos can be put in and taken out at home.
Bohyme Essential standard tape-ins can be reused with replacement tape strips after removal. For removal, see tape-in accessories. Reuse for other products depends on the method and condition, so ask your stylist.
